Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania presents $1,500 contribution to the Margaret E. Moul Home to help fund the installation of new HVAC system

Friday, June 16, 2017

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc. presented the Maraget E. Moul Home with a $1,500 grant to help subsidize the cost of a new HVAC system for their facility. This important upgrade to the building will ensure the continued safety and comfort of the Home’s residents and staff; allowing them to continue their vital work in the York community.

“The average life expectancy is 15 to 20 years for an HVAC system such as ours. We are grateful for the financial support from Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. Our primary goal is to provide an optimal environment for our residents, staff and the entire Margaret E. Moul Home family,” said Dawne Kramer, Executive Director of the Home.

“We have been using the HVAC system installed in 2000, along with the exhaust fans from the facility’s original construction in 1982,” continued Dwayne. “With the cost of the upgrade totaling $92,000, the Home has been working tirelessly to be able to afford this necessary replacement project. Through grants and other donations, the Home has already been able to obtain over half of the funding for the project.”

“Safety is of utmost importance at Columbia Gas, so we are happy to support a project that will make the Margaret E. Moul Home a safer place for its residents and staff members,” said Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Community Engagement Manager Sarah Perry.

The Margaret E. Moul Home is a private, non-profit, long-term facility that provides extensive care services, vocational opportunities, and community engagement experiences for adults living with severe neuromuscular impairments such as cerebral palsy.
