Small commercial business customers can take advantage of a new program launched by Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania that rewards them with rebates when they replace less energy-efficient equipment with higher-efficiency natural-gas equipment.
Small commercial customers who pay the Energy Efficiency Rider on their bills are eligible for this new program, which offers rebates of up to $2,000 on qualifying energy efficiency measures.
“The Small Commercial Rebate Program is a great way to help small commercial customers make their businesses more energy efficient and profitable by taking qualifying measures,” said Mark Kempic, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania president and chief operating officer. “The online application process is straightforward, so customers are encouraged to review the program’s guidelines to see if any upgrades they are planning may be eligible for a rebate.”
Program measures that qualify for a rebate include natural gas water-heating equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, heating equipment, insulation and air sealing, and natural gas fireplace inserts. Rebates are available for new measures/equipment, not refurbished or used, and the amount of the rebates cannot exceed 100 percent of the total installed measure cost.
Rebates are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
