Crew replacing lines in a neighborhood.
As part of an ongoing Columbia Gas pipeline replacement project in Whitehall Borough, Provost Road from Weyman Road to Frank Street will be closed December 16 through December 20 (weather dependent) to ensure safe travel by motorists around the work zone and to enhance safety and efficiency for work crews completing required pipeline relocation work.
Residents and businesses within the closure area, as well as emergency responders, will continue to have access to the closed section of road at all times.
Motorists traveling through or near the Columbia Gas work zone should exercise extreme caution and be prepared for slowed or temporarily stopped traffic. Motorists should keep a safe distance between vehicles, reduce speed in work zones, and obey flaggers and all posted signs, including detours and parking restrictions.
Columbia Gas appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and motorists during this important project to maintain the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas service to homes and businesses in the community.
