Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Upgrading Natural Gas Pipeline Along Beaver Grade Road in Robinson Township

Monday, May 08, 2017

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania has begun a gas pipeline replacement project along Beaver Grade Road near the intersection with Clever Road in Robinson Township, upgrading a 12-inch gas main.  Customers’ natural gas service will not be interrupted during this project.

Columbia Gas crews are replacing approximately 300 feet of older steel pipe with newer, coated steel pipe to ensure the continued delivery of reliable natural gas service to customers in the area. Work is expected to last through the middle of July, weather permitting, and will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  At times, there may be temporary lane restrictions during working hours.

Motorists traveling through Columbia Gas work zones should exercise caution and be prepared for slowed or temporarily stopped traffic during working hours.  Motorists should keep a safe distance between vehicles, reduce speed in work zones, and obey flaggers and all posted signs, including detours and parking restrictions.

Information on Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania’s commitment to safety, including the importance of calling 811 before you dig, home and appliance safety, and steps to take if you smell natural gas can be found at www.ColumbiaGasPA.com/stay-safe.
