5 ways we keep you safe

Latest installments include how to spot an impostor and work zone safety

The Columbia Gas “Warm Weather Safety Minute” campaign continues to offer simple tips that anyone can follow to stay safe.

Each week throughout the summer, Columbia Gas will continue to highlight specific topics related to natural gas safety on its website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

This week’s installment addresses sewer line safety. Clearing a clogged sewer line may seem like a simple fix, but it is important to call 811 and a professional plumber to ensure the clog is cleared properly and safely.

Future Warm Weather Safety Minute topics will include:

  • Worker safety
  • Appliance safety
  • Carbon monoxide safety

At Columbia Gas, the safety of our customers, employees and the communities we serve is our number one priority. This campaign aims to educate the community by offering practical advice for staying safe at home, at work and on the road,” said Mike Huwar, president and chief operating officer of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Customers can visit the News Room section of the Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania website weekly throughout the summer for the latest Warm Weather Safety Minute, along with past installments.
