Salute to Veterans

This Veterans Day, Columbia Gas Pennsylvania’s Veteran employee resource group donated $2,500 funded from the NiSource Charitable Foundation to the Centre County United Way as emergency funding for local veterans in need as identified by the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC).

“In recognition of Veterans Day, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania is honored to have the opportunity to partner with the Centre County United Way and the VMC,” said Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania General Manager and veteran Mike Davidson. “Sometimes there is a delay between the time a veteran in need, approaches the VMC and full access to the non-profit’s assistance. The funding donated by Columbia Gas will help to meet immediate, emergency needs.”

“At the Centre County United Way, we work every day to create opportunities for a better life for everyone in our community,” said Centre County Executive Director Wendy Vinhage. “By partnering with companies, like Columbia Gas, together we provide individuals and families with a long list of vital services to advance our community.”
