American Red Cross to Benefit Through Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Social Media Campaign Throughout November

Utility partners with American Red Cross to spread the word on important emergency prevention and preparedness training, resources and information through its #Prevent and #Prepare Campaign

 

Throughout the month of November, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania will donate $2 to the American Red Cross for every additional like on the Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Facebook page or follow on the company’s Twitter page.

“At Columbia Gas, we utilize social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, to connect and engage with our customers, emergency responders, philanthropic organizations, communities and governmental bodies,” said Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania President Mike Huwar.

Throughout November, Columbia Gas and the Red Cross will provide social media users with valuable safety preparedness and emergency prevention tips. In addition to gaining safety and emergency prevention knowledge, there are many added benefits of joining Columbia Gas on social media:

  • Stay updated on important energy efficiency and bill assistance information
  • First to know about important company announcements
  • Sharing career opportunities and job openings

*Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania will donate a total of up to $5,000 to local Red Cross chapters throughout the company’s service territory. Additional Facebook likes and Twitter followers will be tabulated starting 12AM November 1, 2017 and ending 12PM November 30, 2017. All social media users are qualified participants, not limited to Columbia Gas customers. Columbia Gas is making a gift to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. This gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small. The American Red Cross name is a registered trademark used with permission.
