Columbia Gas donates $2,000 to the non-profit, in support of preventative health education

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania presented a $2,000 donation to the Byrnes Health Education Center in support of much needed, preventative health education benefiting students throughout York County.

“While York County schools, grades Pre-K through 12, do provide health education to students, it can be very limited,” said Byrnes Health Education President and CEO Anne Bahn. “The dynamic and impactful lessons provided to schools by The Byrnes Health Education Center supplements student’s current education.”

“Through the $2,000 contribution provided by Columbia Gas, we were able to help fund approximately eight health education programs for York County students,” said Columbia Gas Community Engagement Manager Sarah Perry. “At Columbia Gas, we are committed to living safe and healthy lives and we applaud the Byrnes Center for the great, life-changing education they provide.”

The mission of the Byrnes Health Education Center – to inspire people of all ages to make healthy choices – is achieved through customizable education experiences and dynamic, interactive programs and engaging hands-on exhibits covering a wide range of health subject areas.
