Monday, May 22, 2017

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania employees joined hundreds of participants to walk three miles around North Strabane Township Park, this past Saturday, May 20, during the Washington County March for Babies event. The event is the largest fundraiser for the March of Dimes which helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania employees who participated in the event called themselves “Hearts Aflame” and encouraged co-workers, family members and neighbors to rally behind the important cause, raising over $1,000 for the March of Dimes. In addition to the $1,000 raised by employees, the Company made an additional $5,000 donation to the non-profit organization.

“Columbia Gas employees and families are honored to advance the mission of the March of Dimes,” said Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania State Finance Director and Hearts Aflame Team Captain Nancy Krajovic. “The March for Babies event gives everyone in our community the chance to make a difference in the lives of millions of babies.”

Columbia Gas is committed to giving back to organizations like March of Dimes who are working to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and deliver natural gas.
