Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Upgrading Natural Gas Pipeline for Customers in Warren

Thursday, May 11, 2017

Natural gas customers in Warren will soon benefit from two Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania gas pipeline replacement projects that will ensure the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient natural gas to customers for years to come.

Columbia Gas crews have begun replacing more than 520 feet of older steel pipe along 7th Avenue in Warren.  Later this month, crews will begin similar work along Pleasant Drive, replacing more than 4,800 feet of gas pipeline.  Work is expected to last through mid-September, weather permitting, and will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  At times, there may be temporary lane restrictions during working hours.

Motorists traveling through Columbia Gas work zones should exercise caution and be prepared for slowed or temporarily stopped traffic during working hours.  Motorists should keep a safe distance between vehicles, reduce speed in work zones, and obey flaggers and all posted signs, including detours and parking restrictions.

Information on Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania’s commitment to safety, including the importance of calling 811 before you dig, home and appliance safety, and steps to take if you smell natural gas can be found at www.ColumbiaGasPA.com/stay-safe.
