Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania President Carol Fox Elected to Allegheny Conference Board of Directors

Canonsburg, PA – Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc., today announced that its president, Carol Fox, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development.

The Allegheny Conference on Community Development is comprised of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Economy League of Southwestern Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance and works in collaboration with public and private sector partners to stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life in southwestern Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh region has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent decades and now has a diversified economy built on historic strengths in sectors such as manufacturing, financial services and energy complemented by more recent growth in the life sciences and healthcare and communications and information technology.

“I am pleased to have been elected to the board and looking forward to partnering with other regional investors to drive this region’s economy, from health technology and green industries to clean energy,” Fox said.  “Southwestern Pennsylvania is fortunate to have dedicated leaders across the corporate, nonprofit and higher-education fields working together.”

Fox was named president of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Columbia Gas of Maryland, Inc. in July 2009 after serving in a variety of senior-level executive positions at NiSource Inc.(NYSE: NI), Columbia Gas’ parent company.
