Cold Weather Minute: Replace Furnace Filters to Keep Your Home Warm

February 4, 2010

Clean air filters are as essential on your furnace as they are on your car. Furnace air filters remove pollen and dust from the air and need to be cleaned or replaced as recommended by the furnace manufacturer. Filters should be checked monthly during the heating season to ensure they are clean and not restricting air flow. Be sure to replace your furnace filter with the correct size and type for your furnace – double-check the size on the old filter before purchasing new ones.
